From the exlporation works at the Marienschacht Mine Wölsendorf, Bavaria, Germany. 
Its a cut and like polished specimen of Uraninite with a Hematite like red rock (old german name was "rotliegendes") Very interesting contrast.
It was in the collection of Dr. R. Geipel he got it out of the collection of Dr. Heinz Ziehr, one of germanys main uranium prospectors.
