Type and ONLY known locality in the world for Markeyite.
This specimen has a lot going on with a complex amount of mineral assemblages.  It contains asphaltum, which is always something you want to look for when prospecting, as it's an indicator and source of rare uranium minerals.  The asphaltum has sharp well formed yellow prismatic crystals of Plasilite with smaller platy crystals of Markeyite.  The specimen contains a lot of gypsum with some natrozippeite, johannite, and secondary coatings of andersonite.
Markeyite is known from exactly one confirmed global locality.
Markey Mine: Located in the Red Canyon Mining District, White Canyon District, San Juan County, Utah, USA. It serves as the type locality for this rare calcium uranyl carbonate mineral.
