This material is an exceptionally large piece of Trinitite that is truly never seen for sale on the market these days. Collected in the early 50's by field geologist Theodore Isaac Griffith III when still legal. Material formed during the 1945 test at the Trinitity site in White Sands, New Mexico when the first Atom Bomb was detonated. A rare opportunity to have a piece of history that any museum would be proud to display. This piece is so large that the radioactivity can still be measured with a sensitive device. I get about 1500 CPM on my Radiacode 110!!
