Mi Vida Mine is famous for being the first find of high grade Pitchblende in the Colorado Plateau.  The core that Charles Steen found was not immediately identified but when it was, they found a 14 ft thick vein of the highest grade ore thatvhad been seen which created the Uranium Boom and cemented Moab into history.
This piece is a partial core of solid Pitchblende that shows off with impressive UV reaction in the darkness under a 365 nm UV light. The density is powerful and wields a 1.3 Million cpm reading on the Radiacode 110. Very few pieces of materia cross the million cpm threshold and when they do, they can just look like a plain chunk of rock. This one has the looks, the shape, and the glow to compliment the raw power and historical significance.
